How to Place an Order
To place an order online, start by clicking on the "Our Products" button at the top of any page and selecting a product from the drop-down menu. Each product page provides a description of the product being offered and contains an "Add To Shopping Cart" button that you can click to add that item to your shopping cart. After you have clicked the "Add To Shopping Cart" button, you can either continue shopping or view the contents of your shopping cart by clicking the "shopping cart / checkout" button. The "shopping cart / checkout" button is located at the top of every page and will display any items you have placed in your shopping cart along with a subtotal - not including sales tax or shipping charges. (*Only New Jersey residents must pay state sales tax.)

While viewing the contents of your shopping cart, you may change quantities, delete items, continue shopping or proceed to shipping and billing options by clicking on "Order Checkout". Fill in the necessary information in the "Ordered By" and "Deliver To" sections of the checkout form. Then, select a shipping option and payment method. Click the button marked "Proceed with Secure Checkout". You should now have the "Order Confirmation" page displayed. The total cost of your order, including sales tax, if applicable, and shipping will be calculated and displayed. If you need to modify your order, click your browser's back button. If everything is OK, click on the "Submit Secured Order" button.

After you have submitted your order, your browser will display an order confirmation number. Record this number for your records.

Privacy and Security

We are committed to ensuring your privacy as a customer of Candle Factory Products. At no time will we ever sell, share or exchange names, e-mail addresses, or any other information about our online visitors or customers.

We do, however, collect two types of information from visitors to Candle Factory Products. Here is what we collect, how we handle that information and why we need it:

  1. Statistics about your visit are very important to us. Therefore, as you browse our site, our web server logs and collects information about your visit, not about you personally. We monitor statistics such as how many people visit our site and which pages people are most interested in viewing. No personal information is associated with any of this data. We use this information to determine overall site traffic, to evaluate whether our server capacity is adequate, and which areas of our site are the most or least popular. We hope to use this data to improve our web site and your shopping experience with us.

  2. Personal information you choose to share with us is both necessary and helpful. When you place an order with us, you will be required to provide a billing and shipping addresses, an e-mail address, a credit card number, etc. You can be assured that Candle Factory Products does not collect personal information from you unless you provide it to us. If you choose to provide use with your personal information, we will use it only for the purpose specified. We keep this information confidential and we will at no time share any of your personal data with any other entity for any reason. At Candle Factory Products, your credit card information is not be stored on a computer with access to the internet and, after your order is processed, all sensitive information is permanently deleted from our server and our computers.

Inside the Candle FactoryA few words about secure shopping and "identity theft": This site was developed to support secure online purchasing through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. In order for SSL security to work, you must be using an SSL enabled browser. We recommend using Netscape 3.02 or later, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 or later. When your browser is in secure mode, you will notice an unbroken key or lock at the bottom or top of your screen. You can also tell if you are on a secure page by looking at the URL in the address window of your browser. Most web addresses start with "http://", however, if you are on a secure page, the address will begin with "https://". The "s" means secure. Look for these signs before providing your credit card number to any online merchant. Also, email is not encrypted and is not considered a secure means of transmitting credit card numbers so be careful when shopping other internet sites that suggest sending them personal information via email.

Refunds and Returns

Candle Factory Products promises to deliver quality products, reliable shipping, and exceptional customer service. If your merchandise is damaged in shipping, or if you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 10 business days of receipt of your order to arrange for a prompt and courteous replacement or refund.

Please note that shipping charges will be refunded only in exceptional situations and a 10% restocking fee may be charged on all orders over $100 that are cancelled or returned for reasons other than the merchandise being damaged.

Delivery Options

Our standard method of shipping is through United Parcel Service (UPS). While placing your order with us, our web site will contact the official UPS web site to calculate the shipping charges based on the total weight of your order, your geographical location and the type of shipping you select. This charge will then be added to the order total. All shipping costs are dictated by UPS. We do not "profit" in any way from our shipping costs. Most orders are processed and shipped within 3-5 business days after being submitted.

Currently, UPS will not accept individual orders in excess of 150 pounds. Therefore, if your order is not being processed, please check to see whether the "Total Shipping Weight" exceeds 150 pounds. If so, you can either submit multiple orders online or place your order over the phone by calling (732) 240-3131 on Mondays during the hours of 9 am to 5:00 pm. A sales representative will be happy to accept your order over the phone.

A $5 "shipping" discount is automatically applied to all purchases of $75 or more.

Frequently Asked Shopping Questions

To provide you with faster online help, we have compiled a list of frequently asked shopping questions regarding ordering online. If you have a question that is not on the list, please e-mail us at service@candles.us.com and we will be happy to assist you.

  1. What should I expect after I place my order? Once you place your online order, you will receive an order confirmation on your browser. This is an automatic response generated by our shopping cart software. Most packages are shipped within 3-5 business days and most orders are received by customers within 5-10 business days from submission. You should receive a shipping confirmation from UPS via e-mail and you can check the status of your package by visiting our UPS Tracking page.

  2. How do I know if my online order is secure? We encrypt your personal information, such as your credit card number, using SSL Technology. It is actually more secure for you to provide your credit card information via the Internet to companies using encrypted technology than over the phone or via facsimile. In fact, credit card companies provide us with better rates because of our secure technology.   3. Why isn't an unbroken key or lock displayed at the bottom or top of my screen? The problem you encountered was due to the fact that while you were shopping you clicked on a product or picture which opened a new window. When you subsequently added that product to your shopping cart and proceeded to checkout, you were still in this new window which did not have an address bar. Although still secure, the computer has no means by which to verify this information because of this second window. Therefore, in order for the proper security indicators to appear, it is necessary to close this second window and click on the shopping cart link at the top of whatever page is then displayed. The next page you see should show the products that have been added to your cart. When you now proceed to checkout via this first window, you will see the proper security indicators.

  5. Which credit cards do you accept? We currently accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

  6. Can I buy products from you in bulk or wholesale? Yes. Almost all of our products are offered at bulk or wholesale discount prices. All discounts are automatically calculated and are based upon the number of pieces being purchased.
